This Easter picture was taken in front of June's parents' house at 2419 McKee Street in Houston, in 1940. June is at the left, in the outfit that so impressed Billy. (See his October 26, 1943 letter, in which he comments on it.) Nonie Greenstein (June's brother Bub's wife) is in the middle with her oldest child, and June's first niece, Nancy. The little boy at the right is Nonie's nephew, identified only as "Big Bubba." |
