This first group of photos was taken during the visit of Uncle Arthur and his family in June of 1956. They are all from the same slide box, and several were labelled by Mom with not only locations but full dates! I wish more of the pictures had been this carefully documented.
These first two were taken at Waterton National Park in Canada and labelled "Cameron Falls, June 16, 1956":

The first two of the following three shots were not labelled, but fell in sequence with the others at Waterton (plus, the Canadian flag is something of a giveaway!). The one of the imposing structure on the hill was labelled "Waterton Lake Hotel, 6-16-56"; this may have been what it was called then but it is now referred to as the Prince of Wales Hotel on the Glacier Park, Inc., website.

This next group of photos was taken later in the same trip, going by slide sequence numbers. The location here is Many Glacier Hotel, in the U.S. park (the two showing the hotel with cars were so labelled, and the one from the view deck was in between them in the sequence):

These super waterfall shots followed the previous ones directly in the slide sequence, and since there's a lake in the background, it's possibly Swiftcurrent, where Many Glacier is located; unfortunately, these slides were not labelled:

The only one of the following four fantastic scenic shots that was labelled was the first one, which was noted as "Bird Woman Falls, 6-17-56." ("Bird Woman" is the translation of Sacajawea's name, she of Lewis and Clark fame.) I believe the falls in the second picture is a different one, since I don't think Dad had a telephoto lens. The turquoise Chevy in the bottom left photo might have been our car; the one from Ohio in the bottom right was just that of another Glacier tourist family. But I love the shot of the tunnel in that picture!
