Only in San Antonio could a scene like this take place! Avery Johnson and David Robinson approach on their barge with the NBA trophy as fans look on and applaud. News reports put the crowd for the whole parade at over 200,000, but where we were, at the end, it was just crowded enough to be festive.
The barge on the right is full of sportscasters, we assume, since the man in front, pointing at David is Jay Howard, the "voice of the Spurs" on the radio. This barge had turned around and the folks in it were getting ready to debark.
