Serie A

Serie B

[I have gotten lazy in my old age and decided to eliminated the maps for Serie C. There are just too many teams in too small an area and in towns that are often hard to find. You can find out about these teams at calcio.com, an Italian language site.]

I've put these pages together primarily for my own pleasure, since I enjoy 1) geography, 2) soccer and 3) making web pages. But I hope they might also be of some use to soccer fans planning visits to Italy, who might want to incorporate soccer into their itineraries. Please note that the positions of the cities on the maps are approximate and are only intended to give a general idea of the locations. If you see any errors, or have suggestions for additions or improvements to these pages, please contact me at kathyamen@sbcglobal.net

The official web page of Italy's professional organization, Lega Nazionale Professionisti, has information (in Italian) about the clubs, including addresses, emails, rosters, etc., and links to their official homepages. Linguistic note when searching for pages and trying to read them in Italian: "calcio" is Italian for "football." As you can see in another, very comprehensive, site (in Italian): calcio.com. Another fun site with all kinds of European soccer information is European Football Statistics. European Football Clubs and Squads is a site in German that has an amazing amount of detail on all European leagues and competitions. There are enough link titles in English and cognates so that navigation isn't too hard even if you don't know German.

Three good sites in English for information on European soccer top leagues (although their emphasis is on English and Scottish teams):

Thanks to Russell, our English football friend, for letting me know about these great sites.

I got the blank maps for my graphics from What You Need to Know about Geography.
