Out on the Ice

Many more photos, including higher resolution versions of some of the images on these pages, can be seen in this Flickr set. The set also includes scans of notes written on the reverse of some of the photographs. Color images are from slides which Billy presumeably took; black and white are from photographic prints. Some of the black and white images are from official photographs; I assume Billy did not take these. Most of these photos, I assume came from the Labrador survival school in 1953.
